What a lovely two weeks at Valentou! There was plenty of BBQ-ing and making the most of the fantastic pool. On our last morning, as we breakfasted by the pool, we were treated to the spectacle of a clear blue sky filled with hot air balloons. The Collins family, Northumberland _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A really super house and pool, well appointed and ‘spot on’ for our family. The games barn was also a huge hit with ping pong, darts & table football. We cycled and hiked around the area and enjoyed the local restaurants – particularly L’Auberge du Brelan. Valentou is highly recommended by us all. We had a wonderful week. The pool was a smash hit with children and adults alike. The house is very well presented and so comfortable – cool on really hot days. We leave wanting more as there is so much to see and do in the area. Two wonderful weeks in this beautiful place. We have been in the pool everyday. The house is lovely, spacious and easy. In the garden the plum trees have been very productive. We explored nearby bastide towns and walked the GR to Tournon d’Agenais. We hope to return again. We spent two wonderful weeks in this lovely villa, mostly relaxing around, and in, the pool. We didn’t venture out much because we were so comfortable here. Staying at Valentou has been a great way to relax whilst affording us the opportunity of taking day trips visiting nearby towns and villages; a true taste of France. Valentou itself is everything we imagined it to be – comfortable, spacious, well appointed with a charming French ambience. We loved the house and the pool. We heard owls at night and took walks along little used paths through the fields and woods around the house. It’s a fastinating area. We all agreed that Valentou was the nicest house we’ve stayed in, so well equiped and beautifully decorated. We did lots of swimming and played some fiercely competative games of table tennis. The area is beautiful; we discovered so many excellent restaurants nearby too. August 2017
