17th century Quercy house in rural south-west France

A CHARMING HOUSE, DATING FROM THE 17th CENTURY, IN BEAUTIFUL TARN-ET-GARONNE…tastefully updated, accommodating 8-10 guests

L’Ancien Presbytere, Valentou is a delightful property, solidly built in mellow Quercy stone, set squarely in mature secluded grounds. Formerly the home of the Parish priest, the house retains many  fine period features including grand stone fireplaces, vaulted wine caves, original beams and pretty casement windows. Recently renovated to a high standard, with modern kitchen and bathrooms, satellite TV and wi-fi. Offers 21st century creature comforts while retaining  its traditional feel,  providing excellent accommodation for up to ten guests.

L’Ancien Presbytere, Valentou lies along a tiny, rural cul-de-sac, surrounded by fields and woodland. The grounds consist of lawns, mature trees, shrubs, paths and patios, ideal for outdoor living and dining. The sparkling 12×6 metre heated pool and ‘games barn’ adjoin the house.

The countryside about is open and undulating, dotted with pretty hamlets and villages. The nearest and one of the loveliest is Roquecor,  where there is a weekly market selling local produce, a lively cafe, artisan galleries and a good general store. There are many other markets and restaurants in the area too.
